The official trailer for NCAA Football 26 dropped Thursday, showcasing plenty of Big 12 action — but Kansas State Wildcats fans were left empty-handed.
EA Sports has packed the new edition with thousands of real players and over 300 coaches from all 136 FBS programs.
This year’s game adds roughly 2,700 new plays and revamps the “Stadium Pulse” system with crowd-driven features like clock distortion and screen shake, aiming to make rivalry and playoff games feel more intense and immersive.
New this year is an online progression mode called Road to the College Football Playoff, and the fan-favorite College Football Ultimate Team returns, according to ESPN.
However, Wildcat faithful watching the trailer might have done a double take — as Kansas State was nowhere to be seen. Instead, the spotlight went to other Big 12 teams like Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Arizona, and in-state rival Kansas.
For Wildcats fans, it was a disappointing snub. Many had hoped for a glimpse of beloved mascot Willie riding a motorcycle during Harley Day or a playful nod to rising star Avery Johnson’s golden locks. Even a moment showcasing running back Dylan Edwards’ explosiveness would have fired up the fanbase.
The absence raises questions: Why leave out a proud program like Kansas State? While EA Sports promises “authentic college football like never before,” this trailer left some fans feeling left behind.
NCAA Football 26 launches July 10, 2025, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Early access begins three days prior for those who purchase it bundled with Madden NFL 26.
As the release date nears, Wildcats fans will be watching closely — hoping to see their team get the spotlight they deserve.
