Kansas State has extended a football scholarship offer to 2027 running back Javian Jones-Priest of Arlington, Texas, according to his social media account.
Jones-Priest rushed for 1,162 yards and 14 touchdowns last season as a sophomore at Martin High School.

He noted in his post that he has received several scholarship offers, but this is his first from a Power 4 program. The University of Texas at El Paso, Sacramento State, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and North Texas have also extended offers.
Standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 185 pounds, Jones-Priest claims to have run the 100 meters in 10.49 seconds and the 200 meters in 21.64 seconds. If accurate, those times suggest he brings an impressive size-speed combination to the running back position — an asset should he choose to commit to the Wildcats.

Kansas State currently expects star running backs Dylan Edwards and Joe Jackson to lead the rushing attack this season. The team also added transfer Antonio Martin Jr., a bigger back, to strengthen the position group.
Still, depth and durability remain key concerns as the Wildcats prepare for the 2025 season and beyond.
Last season, Kansas State’s starting running back D.J. Giddens was selected by the Indianapolis Colts with the No. 151 overall pick in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Giddens was a consistent force in Manhattan, rushing for over 1,200 yards in each of the past two seasons and scoring 23 career touchdowns on the ground.
The Wildcats finished last season with a 9–4 overall record and a 5–4 mark in conference play, despite being considered a preseason favorite. They concluded their season with a 44–41 victory over Rutgers in their bowl game on Dec. 26.
