Kansas State is doing its work in the 2026 recruiting cycle, with running backs coach Brian Anderson making a recent stop in Georgia to check in on rising senior Will Rajecki — a three-star back from Sequoyah High School in Canton.

Rajecki, a 6-foot, 200-pound running back/safety, confirmed the visit on social media, thanking Anderson for attending a spring practice and making an in-home visit. His offer sheet continues to grow, with early attention from several Power 5 programs.

Among the schools in the mix: in-state Georgia, NC State, Kansas, and a handful of Group of Five programs including Memphis, South Florida, and Rice.

Rajecki is coming off a breakout junior season where he racked up 1,552 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground. He added 584 receiving yards and five scores through the air — and even threw two touchdown passes — en route to First-Team All-Region honors.

While his recruitment is still gaining momentum, Rajecki’s versatility and production have made him a name to watch heading into his senior year.

Kansas State, meanwhile, is set at the position for now with standout backs Dylan Edwards and Joe Jackson expected to lead the Wildcats’ ground game in 2025. The program also brought in transfer Antonio Martin Jr. to add size and depth to the room.

But with durability and long-term depth always a concern in the Big 12, the Wildcats are clearly laying the groundwork for the future.

K-State is coming off a 9–4 campaign in 2024, including a 5–4 mark in conference play and a dramatic 44–41 bowl win over Rutgers on Dec. 26.

The program also saw starting back D.J. Giddens selected in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Giddens rushed for over 1,200 yards in each of the past two seasons and finished his career with 23 touchdowns on the ground.
