Treshaun Ward is taking his talents to the Canadian Football League.

The former Kansas State running back has signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the team announced this week.

Ward rushed for 643 yards and five touchdowns for the Wildcats in 2023 before transferring to Boston College for his final year of eligibility.

A 5-foot-10, 190-pound product of Plant City, Florida, Ward began his college career at Florida State, spending four seasons with the Seminoles before transferring to K-State. He wrapped up his collegiate career at BC in 2024, tallying 406 rushing yards and two scores.

Ward went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, but now gets a shot at continuing his professional career north of the border.

The Tiger-Cats finished 7–11 last season, placing fourth in the CFL’s East Division.

Back at Kansas State, the Wildcats are reloading at running back with Dylan Edwards and Joe Jackson expected to lead the way in 2025. The program also added transfer Antonio Martin Jr. to bolster the depth chart.

K-State finished 9–4 in 2024, including a 5–4 mark in Big 12 play and a dramatic 44–41 bowl win over Rutgers on Dec. 26.

The Wildcats also saw starting RB D.J. Giddens taken in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Giddens eclipsed 1,200 rushing yards in each of the past two seasons and ended his K-State career with 23 rushing touchdowns.
