Kansas State is set to host one of the top offensive line prospects in Oklahoma later this summer.
Daniel McMorris, a three-star tackle from Norman North High School, has emerged as the No. 1-ranked offensive lineman in the state. He currently holds more than 20 scholarship offers and is drawing heavy interest from Power 5 programs across the country.
The 6-foot-5, 255-pound lineman posted a photo on social media following an in-home visit with new Kansas State offensive line coach Brian Lepak and offensive coordinator Matt Wells on May 1.

McMorris’ visit comes at a time of transition for the Wildcats’ offensive staff. Former offensive line coach and offensive coordinator Conor Riley left the program this offseason to join the Dallas Cowboys. During his time at K-State, Riley helped develop several NFL-caliber linemen, including Cooper Beebe and KT Leveston recently.
Since 2014, five Kansas State offensive linemen have been selected in the NFL Draft.
The Wildcats will be looking to reload at tackle this season after losing both starters. Left tackle Easton Kilty declared for the NFL Draft, while right tackle Carver Willis transferred to Washington.
The interior line remains intact, led by returning starters Sam Hecht at center and Taylor Poitier at guard. Veteran backup Andrew Leingang returns as well. The group will be bolstered by incoming transfers Amos Talalele (Cal), George Fitzpatrick (Ohio State), Terrence Enos (Michigan State), and J.B. Nelson (Penn State). Young prospects John Pastore and Gus Hawkins are also expected to compete for playing time.
Kansas State finished the 2024 season 9–4 overall and 5–4 in Big 12 play. The Wildcats closed out the year with a 44–41 win over Rutgers in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl on Dec. 26.
