Kansas State is dancing again.

The Wildcats (31–24) are headed to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year and will open Austin Regional play against UTSA (44–13) on Friday night at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

It’s the sixth NCAA appearance in program history and the second under head coach Pete Hughes.

K-State enters the postseason after a solid Big 12 campaign, while UTSA arrives as the American Athletic Conference’s regular-season champion.

The Roadrunners topped the AAC standings and are making their fourth NCAA appearance in program history. The all-time series is tied 2–2, with the Wildcats winning the most recent meeting, 5–4, back in 2009.

Host and No. 2 seed Texas (42–12) will face Houston Christian (32–23) in the regional opener, with Friday’s winners meeting Saturday, May 31.

The Wildcats are 9–6 all-time in regional play, including a sweep of the Fayetteville Regional last season to advance to the Super Regional.

The winner of the Austin Regional moves on to face the Los Angeles Regional champion in a best-of-three Super Regional, set for June 6–8 or June 7–9. That bracket features No. 15 national seed UCLA, UC Irvine, Arizona State, and Fresno State.

All Austin Regional games will stream live on ESPN+ and the ESPN app. Radio coverage is available through the K-State Sports Network.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 29 at 10 a.m. CT through the Texas Athletics ticket office. Tickets will not be available through K-State.
