Kansas State doubled down on Sunday, securing its second commitment of the day when versatile 2026 athlete Hannibal Carter Navies announced his pledge to the Wildcats.

The Loganville, Georgia, native took to social media to make it official, tweeting, “100% COMMITTED! #EMAW 💜💜,” tagging Kansas State coaches and staff.

At 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, Carter Navies is a three-star prospect who brings size and athleticism to the Wildcats’ defense.

Known for his fluid hips, range in coverage, and physicality in the run game, he offers the versatility to play multiple positions in the secondary.

His commitment came shortly after an official visit to Kansas State’s campus, where he connected strongly with the coaching staff and players. He’s the second player to commit Sunday, joining Garrick Dixon in bolstering K-State’s 2026 class.

Carter Navies chose Kansas State over Big 12 rivals Arizona State and Colorado, as well as Bowling Green and Florida Atlantic. He holds an 87 overall rating from 247Sports, ranking No. 104 in Georgia and No. 86 nationally among safeties.

With this commitment, Kansas State now boasts 12 pledges in the 2026 cycle under head coach Chris Klieman.

Following a strong 2024 campaign, the Wildcats enter the 2025 season riding momentum — ranked No. 12 in USA Today’s preseason poll and No. 16 by Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt.

On defense, veterans like linebacker Austin Romaine and safety V.J. Payne provide leadership and playmaking ability.

Carter Navies adds depth and versatility, with the potential to fill multiple roles as he continues to develop — a trajectory similar to Payne, who is viewed as a potential high NFL draft pick.
