After turning heads at a Kansas State camp last weekend, Missouri defensive back Garrick Dixon didn’t wait long to lock in his future — committing to the Wildcats on Sunday.

The O’Fallon (Mo.) product announced his decision on social media, tagging several Kansas State coaches and writing, “COMMITTED!” on X (formerly Twitter), along with hashtags like #EMAW and #WildCat.

Dixon, listed at 6-foot, 175 pounds, is rated an 86 overall by 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 17 prospect in Missouri and the No. 119 cornerback nationally in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

As a junior, he made an impact on both sides of the ball, recording 47 receptions for 621 yards and four touchdowns.

Defensively, he logged 45 tackles, six pass breakups, three tackles for loss, and two interceptions. He projects as a corner or safety at the college level.

Kansas State extended an offer to Dixon just six days before his commitment after an impressive camp performance in Manhattan. Media reports say the coaching staff was highly impressed by his athleticism and versatility in coverage.

He also held offers from Cincinnati, Iowa State, Army, and Air Force.

With his pledge, Kansas State now has 12 commitments in its 2026 class under head coach Chris Klieman.

The Wildcats are coming off a strong 2024 season and enter the 2025 campaign with high expectations. K-State sits at No. 12 in USA Today’s preseason poll and No. 16 in Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt’s rankings.

Defensively, Kansas State returns key veterans like linebacker Austin Romaine and safety V.J. Payne. Dixon adds depth and long-term upside to a secondary known for its physicality and discipline.
