Tonight's matchup between No. 20 Arizona and No. 14 Kansas State is probably going to be one of the best matchups in Week 3. This is one of two ranked matchups this week along with No. 24 Boston College taking on No. 6 Missouri.

This matchup is even bigger for Kansas State as they are currently 1-5-1 against Arizona and are hoping to gain another win in the win column. Even though this game doesn't count toward Big 12 standings, it is still a big matchup that could prove important at the end of the season when teams are being selected for the College Football Playoff.

A win against Arizona tonight will give the Wildcats good momentum heading into Big 12 play, where they hit the road and take on BYU and then have a ranked matchup against Oklahoma State at home.

The Wildcats are favored for the third game in a row. Both of these teams are coming into this game 2-0 and someone is going to have to come out with a loss.

No. 20 Arizona vs. No. 14 Kansas state final prediction

Avery Johnson showed everyone last week that he is more than just a runner, he has an arm and can use it just as effectively as he does his legs. Even though Johnson isn't out there throwing over 250 or 300 yards every game, the passes he has made so far, especially in the game against Tulane, came at just the right time.

This game is probably going to be an offensive explosion with Johnson and the effective K-State run game and Arizona's Noah Fifita and Tetairoa McMillan connection. Both defenses still have work to do to improve and with some high-powered offenses, this could be come a shoot-out.

This game could come down to whoever has the ball last, I mean even the odds say Kansas State is just a touchdown favorite. However, has the ball last will most likely be able to hang onto it and score as time expires and hopefully that will be Kansas State and honestly, I think it will be.
