March Madness is almost upon us and if you are like me, you are chomping at the bit to create your bracket. I always love seeing the many ways people choose their bracket, whether it is looking at team statistics, team history, or which mascot would win in a fight.

Either way, it is something everyone loves to do, but before we get that chance, we have to make it to Selection Sunday. This is the day that 68 teams will know when and who they will be playing in the first round of the tournament. 32 teams will head into Selection Sunday knowing they have a spot in the tournament, but there will be many teams waiting to see if they did enough during the season to earn a spot.

Kansas State will most likely be one of those teams unless they can create enough chaos in the Big 12 Tournament and win it all to get the automatic bid, which definitely is not out of the question. The Wildcats have had an up-and-down season, but believe if they can eclipse nine conference wins they will have done enough to convince the selection committee to put them in, especially with the tough conference they play in.

Selection Sunday for March Madness will take place on Sunday, March 17 at 6:00 p.m. ET on CBS. The first four games, essentially a play-in, will be on March 19 and 20. The first round with begin on March 21 and run through March 22. The second round will begin on March 23 and end on March 24.

After a few days off the Sweet Sixteen is set to take place from March 28-29 and the Elite Eight will follow from March 30-31. The Final Four will take place in Glendale Arizona on April 6 and the National Championship will conclude the tournament on April 8 also in Glendale, Arizona.
