Like most people in the country with a gaming system, you are probably anxiously awaiting the release of EA Sports College Football 25 on July 19th.

The return of the game after a 10-year hiatus has made fans so excited that they have held on to every little live look and nugget of information that has been released about the game.

From live looks to different types of rankings, EA Sports has kept fans on the edge of their seats and with less than a month till the game's release, they have given fans the best information yet.

The cover art for the game was big and the release date was even bigger, but the release of team and player rankings might be the biggest release other than the game itself. Offensive power rankings were released first and Kansas State unfortunately did not make the top 25 but they were rewarded in the defensive power rankings.

Kansas State was one of four Big 12 teams to be on the top 25 defensive power rankings list with a 84 overall ranking.

After being a great defensive team in 2023, EA Sports rewards Kansas State for their work in the offseason, bringing in recruits and transfers from the transfer portal. They were ranked higher than tough defenses in the Big 12 like Kansas, Arizona, and West Virginia.

Overall team rankings and player rankings are next to be released. It will be interesting to see how players like Avery Johnson and DJ Giddens will be ranked.
