The 2024 college football season is almost here, but what is better about talking about one football season? Talking about two football seasons!
With how quickly time is moving, the 2024 season will be over quickly and we will already be talking about the 2025 season, so might as well start talking about it. The best thing about football is that teams know who their future opponents are going to be years in advance, they just don't know how the schedule will play out.
Kansas State football is already very exciting, but their 2025 season will start with a band as the Wildcats open up the season against Iowa State in Ireland for the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. This will be the first time the Wildcats have played outside the country since 1992 when they played in Tokyo, Japan against Nebraska.
Normally K-State starts the season against non-conference opponents, but they will make the exception in 2025 as this classic is always played at the beginning of the season.
The non-conference opponents that K-State will face in 2025 include North Dakota, Army, and Arizona, and yes the Arizona game will be considered a non-conference game. Due to an already scheduled non-conference series before Arizona joined the Big 12, this game will not count towards Big 12 play.
Now moving into Big 12 play, obviously, we know that K-State has Iowa State on their schedule, but they will also have their conference opponents here in the country.
Here are the Big 12 opponents they will play away from home:
- at Baylor
- at Kansas
- at Oklahoma State
- at Utah
Here are the Big 12 opponents K-Sate will host at home:
- Colorado
- Texas Tech
- TCU
- UCF
The games against Utah will be the first of these two power house conference members sine the Utes joined the Big 12. Hopefully, this will be a rematch of the big 12 title game from 2024 where the Wildcats are the winners.
