EA Sports release their top 100 players for CF25 and the Wildcats get snubbed again

Avery Johnson and DJ Giddens are left off yet another list, but this one may hurt a little more.

EA Sports is so close to releasing the highly anticipated College Football 25, the college football game that will make its return after a 10-year hiatus. There has been a release of many different aspects of the game getting fans and users more excited as the release date of July 19 gets closer and closer.

Their most recent release is probably one of the most anticipated releases other than the game itself. They have now released their top 100 college football players, and while EA Sports gave Kansas State some credit on the defense side with their top 25 defense, they have given the Wildcats no credit with the players list.

Not a single Wildcat landed in the top 100 list which seems a bit crazy. Kansas State some players that would have easily been on the list this year including players like Cooper Beebe and Ben Sinnott who went onto the NFL, but not have players like Avery Johnson and DJ Giddens on the list seems outrageous.

Johnson and Giddens were already snubbed when the Preseason All-Big 12 football team predictions were released and now they don't land on the top 100 players list.

When it comes to Johnson it can make a little more sense as to why he did not make the list. Only two Big 12 quarterbacks made the list and Johnson only truly started and played the entirety of one game in 2023. While Johnson dazzled on the field, he only played a small amount of time and that could be the very reason he didn't make it in the top 100.

Now Giddens not making the list feels like a bug snub to the K-State star. Not only did Giddens take over the star running back Deuce Vaughn after he declared for the NFL Draft, but he was able to keep the running game one of K-State's top weapons as it has been in years past.

In 2023, Giddens had 1,226 rushing yards, 10 rushing touchdowns, 323 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns. Giddens was a big part of the Wildcats' offense last season both in the running and passing game, especially when the quarterback situation was sometimes in flux.

For EA Sports to leave Giddens off the top 100 players list seems like a crazy thing to do, but I guess it can just add fuel to his fire to play even better this season and prove everyone wrong about him.
