College football is back which means every college football fan's favorite Saturday show is back. ESPN's College Gameday made its return today with the return of fan-favorite or fan foe depending on what side you are on Pat McAfee and newcomer and newly retired Alabama coach Nick Saban.

With so few games on today compared to a full slate, the Gameday crew made their picks on who they thought each conference champion would be. Now with no surprise Utah was picked by three of the five pickers, but in a surprise twist McAfee and guest picker WWE star Sheamus both chose West Virginia.

Now I get it, Kansas State has some stuff to prove with a newer roster, but they are at the top of the Big 12 and there is no denying that. However, it is crazy that the gameday crew did not mention a word about Kansas State.

Where did West Virginia come from? Yes, the Mountaineers are a sleeper in the conference, but it seems like that pick came out of left field.

Utah and Kansas State are the top two teams in this conference and there really should be an argument about it. Oklahoma State has Ollie Gordon and that is truly it and West Virginia has a great offense, but can the defense keep up?

Kansas State will have to do as they have talked all preseason and simply prove the doubters and the haters wrong. Avery Johnson is ready to come out and show what he has to offer this program, and as NC State learned, he is a tough guy to defend.
