The College Football Playoff has released its official dates and game times for its new 12-team format that will debut in the 2024 season.

The College Football Playoff Committee agreed to expand the playoff from a four-team format to now a 12-team format. This will allow the Power-4 conference Champions to get an automatic bid, one Group of Five Champion to get a bid and then the next seven best teams to fill out the playoff.

The Playoff instead of running for about two weeks will now run for a month from December 20 to January 20 with now 11 games instead of seven.

Since the playoff started, Kansas State has never really been in contention, but with the departure of Oklahoma and Texas from the Big 12, they could now have a shot every season.

Now favorites to win the Big 12, this could be Kansas State's time to make the playoff and fans are on the edge of their seats waiting for football season to start.
