Three weeks into conference play the Big 12 is showing why it is the most competitive conference in college basketball. Before the rankings come out later today, currently the Big 12 has eight of their 14 teams ranked in the top 25.
As the weeks go on, we see Big 12 teams beating up on each other. A ranked opponent falls to an unranked opponent—matchups between ranked opponents that are electric. This past week was no different.
During week two of conference play, we saw Baylor lose twice to unranked opponents. The mighty Kansas Jayhawks lost their second conference game in two weeks. The Big 12 newcomers are making a lot of noise. There are many more things that happened, but we will save those for the rankings.
