The Big 12 Football Media Days will officially be heading to Las Vegas in July. The media day has typically been held in Dallas, Texas at At&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. This year teams will meet in Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Media Days will be held July 9 and 10, and they will look a little different this year. This will be the first season the Big 12 will not feature Texas and Oklahoma as they will be departing for the SEC in July. While the conference will be losing two members, they will be welcoming four new members.
The Big 12 will welcome Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah, and will welcome back Colorado, who left the conference in 2011 for the Pac-12. The Media days will focus on talking to a small group of players that each team brings with them along with their head coach. This is where uniforms are revealed and the media gets the first look at a team.
Kansas State is set to play three of the four newcomers, but only two of them will be treated at conference games. There is set to be a battle of the Wildcats against Arizona before K-State begins conference play, but this is to fulfill an already scheduled game before Arizona was set to join the conference.
Kansas State will open the season at home against UT Martin on August 31. They will open Big 12 play on September 21 against Baylor in Waco, Texas.
