Kansas State football making landmark addition at safety ahead of 2026 season

The recruiting process is in full swing, and Kansas State football is once again in the headlines with its latest defensive additions.

Spring camp is in full swing in The Little Apple, but that doesn't just mean Kansas State football's recruiting game has slowed. Monday morning, the Wildcats officially received commitment from another safety.

Three-star safety Julian Elzey announces committment to Kansas State

Julian Elzey, a safety in the class of 2027, made an official announcement on X that he intends to join the Kansas State football program following his time playing high school football in Georgia.

"I rock with who rock with me!!!" Elzey's post read. "GO CATS!! 100% committed!!! LETS GO!!."

The senior is currently enrolled at Brookwood High School in Lilburn,, Georgia, standing just over six feet tall and a reported 190 pounds.

According to 247Sports, Elzey ranks as the 63rd best safety in the class of 2027. He's the fourth player from the 2027 class to commit under first-year head coach Collin Klein.

Elzey's high school numbers should make Wildcats fans excited

In his junior season, Elzey recorded 76 total tackles in the open field. His varsity career totals 149 total tackles and two fumble recoveries in 24 games.

Earlier reports indicate he also held offers from Miami, Auburn, Boston College and Duke.
