Kansas State didn’t wait long in their search for a new director of athletics. The Wildcats will introduce Gene Taylor at a press conference on Monday.
On February 28, John Currie surprised Kansas State to say he was returning to the SEC and the University of Tennessee.
Gene Taylor, who spent over a dozen years at North Dakota State in the football powerhouse of the Missouri Valley Conference is the new man in Manhattan.
Taylor did build the NDSU Bison football program to national prominence.
On the other hand, I am thankful Taylor also worked the past three years at Big 10 Iowa.
Word of Taylor’s move to Kansas State broke Friday afternoon. Not a great day to break big news.
Despite that, the social media world was busy.

Ask any NDSU alum, they loved Gene Taylor. Trust me i know, basically my entire family graduated from NDSU. They were sad he left for Iowa.

The Gene Taylor hire getting lots of praise around college athletics industry. The real test, though, will be how he handles post-Snyder

I hope Gene Taylor's contract comes with a clause that says he can't schedule North Dakota State in football.

Some comments positive and some controversial.
