Welcome to our humble abode. Pull up a seat and grab a glass for a sip from today’s Jug of News. Hit the jump for Big 12 blogger David Ubben discussing a possible Bill Snyder “30 for 30” film, Marshall Meek’s Wildcat Weekly Wrap, the KSU volleyball women doing fun stuff with season tickets, and more.

ESPN Big 12 blogger David Ubben seems to have developed something of a football-man-crush on K-State football coach Bill Snyder. In his “Mailbag” column, which was posted after Friday’s “Jug Of News” had already posted, he addressed a question from a reader about when/if ESPN would do a “30 for 30” feature on Coach Snyder. While he expressed some reservations about how open Coach Snyder might be to sitting down for such a film, he fairly gushed as he wrote about much he would love to see it get made.

On Saturday, Marshall Meek was back with his usual weekly column, summarizing the week that was in Wildcatland. As always, Marshall did a bang-up job on the column. In other site news, Brady Bauman’s “Bill Snyder Laughed SO Hard…” column will be back on Thursday morning. To get your Brady “fix” during the week, check out his personal blog. He’s got some really funny stuff up there.

The K-State volleyball team had a special surprise for a few people who purchased volleyball season tickets. The ladies delivered some of the season tickets in person. That’s a really interesting idea, and quite useful when you’re trying to “build a brand” outside the big revenue sports.

Finally, in case you missed it, K-State alum Cartier Martin is carving out a nice little career for himself in the NBA. As Cartier talks about, it’s a grind. And with Jacob Pullen playing pretty well in the NBA summer leagues–despite one injury-hampered poor performance–he may well be joining Cartier on that path soon. And even if he doesn’t, Jake has already begun building a good career in Europe.

CODA: Kevin Kietzman–and his son, Spencer–are lying liars, who tried to convince people that former K-State great Jacob Pullen is a serial criminal. Just keeping that little tidbit front-of-mind, in hopes that people will pressure them both into issuing a full retraction and an apology.
