Kansas State men's basketball landed its fourth transfer in this year's transfer portal window on Monday, becoming the fourth addition under Wildcats head coach Casey Alexander. Better yet, he's got a background with two ACC powerhouse programs.
Wildcats earn fourth transfer portal commitment in Virginia Tech transfer Jaden Schutt
Following the departure of eight other members of the 2025-26 roster, a gaping hole was left at the guard position. Now, thanks to Schutt, the Wildcats are one step closer to closing it.

Schutt played the entirety of last season at Virginia Tech, averaging 7.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and shooting a career-high 38.5% from the field. Now a senior, he joins the Wildcats after two seasons with the Hokies following a brief stint at Duke in 2022-23.
He started 26 games last season, scoring his season-high 18 points in December against George Mason. In total, he finished 10 games in double figures, including a 15-point outing against Wake Forrest in the ACC Tournament.
Where Schutt fits on the Kansas State roster
Schutt’s first season in Manhattan will likely go one of two ways: he either earns a starting role at guard and produces double figures or settles into a reserve role behind the high-level talent Alexander and his staff have assembled.
It's also worth noting that Schutt is also a former teammate of Colorado State transfer Brandon Rechsteiner, who committed to the Wildcats just two days prior. Both will join the Wildcats with one season of eligibility remaining.
