Kansas State is set to host a rising quarterback prospect this weekend, as 3-star signal-caller Miles Teodecki out of Vandegrift High School (Austin, Texas) makes an official visit to Manhattan.
Teodecki, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound lefty in the 2026 class, announced the visit Wednesday via social media, just days after receiving a scholarship offer from the Wildcats.
Ranked No. 74 among QBs in the 247Sports Composite (.8550 rating), Teodecki led Vandegrift to a Texas 6A Division II state title last season, throwing for 3,290 yards and 48 touchdowns while completing 70% of his passes. He added four scores on the ground.
Teodecki is especially effective in the intermediate passing game and shows advanced footwork for his age, particularly on rollouts.
He’s comfortable throwing on the move and has shown a knack for improvisation when plays break down—traits that fit well with K-State’s evolving offense.
The junior holds offers from Cincinnati, UTSA, UTEP, Texas State, North Texas, and more—Kansas State among the latest to join the mix.
The Wildcats have yet to secure a quarterback for their 2026 class but struck early in recent cycles with Blake Barnett (2024) and Dillon Duff (2025).
As the recruiting race heats up, K-State is positioning itself to stay in the mix for Teodecki, even if he does ultimately commit elsewhere—especially given the rise of the transfer portal and NIL dynamics.
Budding star Avery Johnson returns as the quarterback and centerpiece of an offense looking to expand its aerial attack after struggles in the passing game last season.
Despite some early growing pains as a first-time starter, Johnson still set a school record with 25 passing touchdowns.
Kansas State enters the 2025 season with momentum after a 9–4 finish last year, capped by a 44–41 bowl win over Rutgers. The Wildcats check in at No. 12 in USA Today’s preseason Top 25 and No. 16 in Joel Klatt’s post-spring rankings (Fox Sports).
