Sundell, a native of Maryville, Missouri, is one of six players selected for the weeklong event, which features daily pool play and a championship game each day, with standings resetting every 24 hours.
She’ll be joined by Taylor Bigby (TCU), Joyce Edwards (South Carolina), MiLaysia Fulwiley (LSU), Lazaria Spearman (Tennessee), and Rachel Ullstrom (Richmond).
The 3x3 nod caps off a packed summer for Sundell.
In late June, she led her team “B&B” to a win at the 3XBA tournament during Spokane Hoopfest—an elite 3x3 event featuring 32 top players. That victory earned her squad a berth in the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series stop in Edmonton, Canada, on Aug. 1–2.
Sundell ended her college career as one of the most accomplished players in K-State history.
A two-time All-Big 12 First Team selection and AP All-America honorable mention, she averaged 14.1 points, 7.2 assists (best in the nation), and 4.4 rebounds as a senior, helping lead the Wildcats to a 28–8 record and a Sweet 16 run.
She was selected 26th overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm. Sundell saw action in just one preseason game—posting one point, two rebounds, an assist, and a steal in 19 minutes—before being waived ahead of the regular season.
Her mark on K-State, however, is undeniable. She holds program records for most games played and starts (139), ranks second in minutes (4,574), and finished sixth in career scoring with 1,771 points.
Looking ahead, K-State returns junior guard Taryn Sides and adds four key transfers: Izela Arenas (UCLA), Jenessa Cotton (Texas A&M), Tess Heal (Santa Clara), and Ramiya White (Louisville).
The incoming freshman class features Aniya Foy, Gina Garcia, Brandie Harrod, and Jordan Speiser.
The Wildcats went 13–5 in Big 12 play last season, including a 17–1 home record, and reached the Sweet 16 before falling to USC, 67–61.
Now, as Sundell steps onto the international stage, the Wildcats turn the page to a new era—one she helped shape.
