Arthur Kaluma announced on the NBA Draft deadline day that he has withdrawn from the NB Draft process and will play another season of college basketball, but the question is where?
After withdrawing from the NBA Draft process, Kaluma now sits in the transfer portal. He can make the choice to return to Kansas State, or he could go to another school that tries to recruit him.
It looks like Kaluma will be a highly sought-after transfer and could have his pick of places to go. Kaluma started his college career at Creighton where he spent two seasons before transferring to Kansas State before last season.
Kaluma was a great addition to the Wildcats with his ability to rebound the ball effectively and shoot the ball even better. He averaged 14.4 points per game and 7 rebounds in 2023-2024.
Jerome Tang and the Wildcats would probably love to have Kaluma back, even though Tang has done a lot of work in the portal to bring other guys in. If Kaluma were to return to K-State, he would most likely be the center point of the team.
Kaluma could be the star for the Wildcats, coming in with the most minutes played for Tang along with the best stats from last season. He would already know the system that Tang likes to play, and he would have had a year of playing in the Big 12 under his belt.
After hearing the news that Kaluma was withdrawing from the NBA Draft process, Tang is probably already working to get his star player back, but it is all in Kaluma's hands now. Will be be playing in lavender next season, or for another program? We will have to wait and see.
