Way-to-early Big 12 running back rankings: Can DJ Giddens take a step forward?

The running back position is an important one in the Big 12, and DJ Giddens is one of the best in the conference.

Abu Sama III will be the starter for the Cyclones after starting just two games at the end of the 2023 season. Sama's best game was his final one against Kansas State where he rushed for 276 yards and three touchdowns and averaged an insane 17.3 yards per carry. He has three touchdowns over 60 yards and shows his ability to break through tackles effectively. Sama will have to show he can produce throughout the whole season, but clearly he has a great ability to run the ball.
