Way-to-early Big 12 running back rankings: Can DJ Giddens take a step forward?

The running back position is an important one in the Big 12, and DJ Giddens is one of the best in the conference.

Utah is expected to be one of the top in the Big 12 next season, but it looks like their running game may need to improve to put them over the top. Micah Bernard dealt with an injury in 2023 that put him out for the majority of the season. However, back in 2022, Bernard was one of the leading rushers for the Utes with 533 yards and four touchdowns. Bernard will return in 2024 as the lead back for Utah yet again and if he can stay healthy and improve on his 2022 stats, he can move his way up these rankings, but until then, he stays here.
