Way-to-early Big 12 running back rankings: Can DJ Giddens take a step forward?

The running back position is an important one in the Big 12, and DJ Giddens is one of the best in the conference.

Houston is going through a big change in 2024 with a new head coach Wilie Fritz from Tulane. Fritz showed he has what it takes to be a great head coach, but now he has to prove it in a power conference. Park Jenkins looks to be the lead back heading into the 2024 season after leading the Cougars in rushing yards in 2023 with 464 yards and three touchdowns. Jenkins will have to up those numbers in 2024 in order to help what was a 12th-ranked rushing offense in 2023 in the Big 12.
