Jerome Tang moved to 11-0 in overtime games with this win over No. 4 Kansas. The Wildcats were on a four-game losing streak going into this game. They had just lost to the bottom team in the conference and they needed to right the ship, but no one thought this was going to be the game they were going to do it.
North Texas transfer Tylor Perry came into this game and showed why he is one of the best players at Kansas State. He dropped 26 on the Jayhawks and exploited their defense. The Wildcats were able to beat the Jayhawks in back-to-back years for the first time since 2014-2015.
This was a huge win for the Wildcats at a time when they were struggling. This was also such a big win because it showed Jerome Tang just might be the coach to help the Wildcats consistently win against the Jayhawks.
