In his first year as head coach at Kansas State, Jerome Tang took down numerous top-25 teams in conference play. One of those teams was No. 2 Kansas when the Wildcats were ranked No. 13. When Tang took over at Kansas State, he had only one returning player and several transfers.

So when Kansas came to town, fans were excited to see what Tang and his team could do. The former Baylor assistant promised fans one court storming during the season and he delivered with the win over Kansas in overtime. While Tang had showed he had what it took to lead this program, this game solidified that.

After the game Tang got on the mic and told fans they got thier one court storming, but from here on out they should expect to win.
