Another chapter was written in the Sunflower Showdown Monday night, and it was an electric one. So let's take a look at the five wins Kansas State basketball has had over Kansas.

In recent years Kansas State has dominated on the football field while Kansas has dominated on the basketball court. The football team hasn't lost a Sunflower Showdown game in 15 games. Before last season, the Wildcats hadn't won a Sunflower Showdown since 2019.

Kansas has been a blue blood in college basketball for years and Kansas State was just another victim for years. Well, with Jerome Tang now at the helm at Kansas State, the reign of absolute terror by the Jayhawks could be coming to an end.

Tang is now 2-1 against the Jayhawks in his head coaching career, and 2-0 at home. Now yes, he still has a lot to prove before people can say he has slain the Kansas dragon, but in his first game against the bitter rival, Tang led his Wildcats to victory in overtime and ended a seven-game losing streak.

So this got me thinking, what other big upsets has Kansas State had over Kansas over the year when you are 96-203 against a team, when you get a win, it is mostly likely an upset. So here are what I believe are the top five best wins Kansas State has had over Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown.
