Jerome Tang is working hard in the transfer portal to stay above water with the number of players he is losing to the NBA and the portal. With the announcement of Ques Glover, RJ Jones, and Dai Dai Ames entering the portal in the last week, the Wildcats also announced the addition of Villanova guard Brendan Hausen and Arkansas forward Baye Fall.

The Wildcats will have a completely new look next season with no returning starters. Kansas State lost seniors Tylor Perry, Will McNair Jr., and David Nguessan, but they also lost Cam Carter, Dorain Finister, Jerrell Colbert, and the three mentioned above to the transfer portal. The Wildcats also lost Arthur Kaluma to the NBA as he declared for the draft recently.

With a total of six guys hitting the portal, Jerome Tang has brought in four guys from the portal to help fill out the roster. The two latest incoming transfers come from Villanova and Arkansas. Hausen comes in as a shooting guard who wasn't a starter but still averaged almost 18 minutes on the court in 2023-2024. Hausen averaged 6.2 points per game, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.5 assists.

Hausen comes in with two years of eligibility left and will join a program where he can grow and most likely be a starter by the beginning of the season. The other name Kansas State added was 6-foot-11 forward Baye Fall out of Arkansas who is originally from Dakar, Senegal.

The Wildcats add a lot of height with Fall coming in at almost seven feet tall. Fall played as a true freshman at Arkansas, who didn't see a lot of time on the court, but will get the opportunity to up his playing time. Kansas State was active in trying to recruit Fall out of high school, but ultimately he signed with the Razorbacks.

With two other official visits from Rutgers center Clifford Omoruyi and Arkansas guard Khalif Battle, the Wildcats could have more portal news soon. All in all Jerome Tang has proven he knows how to bring in talent from the portal, but now he needs to show he can keep it long-term and not just for one season.
