Running Back: Darren Sproles (2001-2004)

Darren Sproles is one of Kansas State's most famous former players, especially in the NFL. Sproles rushed for a school-record 1,979 yards and 45 touchdowns, the most by a running back. He also had a Big 12 record 6,812 all-purpose yards which ranks sixth all-time on the NCAA career list.

Sproles was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played his NFL career for the Chargers, Saints, and Eagles and retired in 2019. He was Super Bowl Champion in 2017 with the Philadelphia Eagles, a three-time pro-bowler, and ranks sixth in NFL history for career all-purpose yards with 19,696 yards.

The prolific running back is again one of the greatest players to play at Kansas State. There is no one else I would want to run the ball in this game than Darren Sproles.
