Jordy Nelson is probably the best walk-on to ever play at Kansas State, not just for his stats in college, but also for the career he had in the NFL following his college career.

It took Nelson about two years to get on the field for Kansas State, but once he hit the field, he was electric for the Wildcats. his final season was his best as he had over 1,000 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.

Nelson was drafted in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers where he was a Super Bowl Champion, a Pro Bowler, and an All-Pro. After a long career in the NFL, including a season where he won Comeback Player of the Year, he chose to retire from the sport in 2019.
