Darren Sproles is definitely the best running back to ever come out of Kansas State, and the best running back to make it in the NFL. Sproles is a part of the Kansas State Sports Hall of Fame and the Ring of Honor in Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
Sproles holds the all-time career rushing yards record at Kansas State with 4,979 rushing yards and is second on the all-time career rushing touchdowns list with 45 rushing touchdowns. He does have 47 total touchdowns in his college career with two receiving touchdowns.
Sproles best season came in his junior year when he was just 14 yards short of 2,000 rushing yards and he scored 16 touchdowns that season. He carried the ball 306 times that season and even had 287 receiving yards and two touchdowns that season.
Sproles was drafted in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. his career took off with the CHargers and the Eagles and even won a Super Bowl with them in 2017.
