Now it might be controversial to have Will Howard on this list, as he is still active in college football and transferred to Ohio State for his last final season, but no one can deny how he played at Kansas State. Howard was thrust into action his freshman season due to injuries with Skylar Thompson. Howard was thrown into the deep end as a true freshman and had to learn fast.

Howard dealt with injuries himself during his career at Kansas State, but in his final season with the Wildcats, he put up 2,643 passing yards and 24 passing touchdowns. In his season senior, he broke the record for most career passing touchdowns at K-State with 48. It is a wonder what number he could have gotten to if he had stayed one more season.

It was no surprise when Howard entered the transfer portal as he probably felt Avery Johnson nipping at his heels. Everyone knew when Johnson signed, he was going to be the future of Kansas State and Howard helped to teach Johnson and was a good veteran to sit behind.
