Skylar Thompson had a great career at Kansas State, unfortunately, he dealt with a lot of injuries in his time with the Wildcats. In five years at K-state, Thompson helped lead the Wildcats to three bowl games, although 2020 doesn't really count because that was a shortened season anyway.
Thompson is on two important leaderboards for K-State in career passing yards and career passing touchdowns. Thompson is second in career passing yards with 7,134 and third in career passing touchdowns with 42.
In his junior season, Thompson put up his best numbers with 2,315 passing yards and 12 passing touchdowns, along with 405 rushing touchdowns and 11 rushing touchdowns. Thompson did make his way to the NFL getting drafted in the seventh round by the Miami Dolphins. He did see action in quite a few NFL games after a couple of injuries to the starting and backup quarterback and even started in his first career playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.
