The 5 best quarterbacks in Kansas State football history
Collin Klein will most likely be remembered for the 2012 season when he was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, finishing third in voting. Klein had an amazing season in 2012, but that was not the only season he had amazing stats.
Klein didn't become the starter at Kansas State until his junior season. As a junior, Klein still put up good numbers with 1,918 passing yards and 13 touchdowns. His junior season was also his best season as a rusher tallying 1,141 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns.
His senior season was even more impressive, part of the reason he was a Heisman finalist. He upped his passing yards in 2012 with 2,641 and had 16 touchdown passes. his rushing did dip a little with only 920 rushing yards and 23 rushing touchdowns. Klein is the career leader for rushing touchdowns at K-State with 55.
Klein will be known for his ability to run the football so well. Unfortunately, the running quarterback was not the type of quarterback one would see in the NFL back in the early 2010s like you see today, so Klein never made it to an NFL stadium, but he will always be remembered who his dynamic ability as a quarterback.
