Kansas State has seen a lot of quarterbacks go through their program, but I would not necessarily say that K-State is quarterbackU.

Bill Snyder knew how to take guys who may not have been the highest recruited guys and turn them into good system guys who ran the offense well. Only a small portion of quarterbacks at Kansas State went on to start in the NFL, but many have been drafted and been great backups.

However, looking back on Kansas State football history, there were quarterbacks that stood out more than others. So here are the five best quarterbacks in Kansas State football history.

The first quarterback on this list is Lynn Dickey who played for Kansas State from 1968 to 1970 when the Big 12 was actually the Big 8. In three seasons at Kansas State, Dickey totaled 6,208 passing yards and 26 passing touchdowns, along with 4 rushing touchdowns.

Dickey does hold some spots in the record books for the Wildcats with the third most passing yards in Kansas State football history. He held the record until 2005 when Josh Freeman made his K-State debut.

Dickey did struggle with turning the ball over, but he had a big arm and did good things for the Wildcats, making him the first former player on this list.
