If the Wildcats can keep this pace going to the finish line, they could have a real chance at contending for a national title. K-State has the No. 1 ranked defense in the Big 12 and No. 4 ranked scoring defense and the No. 2 ranked field goal percentage defense in the nation.
K-State allows only 52.1 points per game to opponents, has a.326 opponent field goal percentage, a .216 opponent three-point percentage, and an average of 30.3 defensive rebounds per game. Ayoka Lee leads the Big 12 in blocks averaging 2.7 a game with a total of 49 blocks on the season.
The Wildcats are without Lee for the next four weeks due to an ankle injury. The senior center is pivotal to K-State's run in March. Lee currently has a .677 shooting percentage with 147 total rebounds and 49 blocks.
