Predicting how many Big 12 teams will make the NCAA Tournament

March is quickly approaching which means it is almost tournament time. Which Big 12 teams will make it into the big dance this year?

Texas Tech is living its best life right now sitting at the top of the Big 12. The Red Raiders have played well up to this point with their only conference loss coming at Houston. They have quality wins over Texas who was No. 20 at the time and a big comeback win over No. 21 BYU.

Now I think Texas Tech has one of the easier schedules going forward. They will play No. 11 Oklahoma, No. 15 Baylor twice, No. 7 Kansas, and No. 23 Iowa State. I think the Red Raiders can beat Baylor both times, but since the game against the Cyclones is at Iowa State I am going to give Texas Tech the loss. The game against Kansas is a home game and The Jayhawks have struggled away from home so I think they have a shot in that game too.

If Texas Tech can take care of business against non-ranked opponents and not fall into any trap games I think they have a really good shot at making it into the NCAA Tournament. They could even have a shot to win the Big 12 Tournament and get the automatic bid if they get favorable matchups.
