Baylor is another team that always seems to be in the mix no matter what when it comes to Selection Sunday for the NCAA Tournament. The Bears won the National Championship back in 2021 and have been trying to get back to the big game ever since.
The Bears are still ranked No. 15 in the AP rankings even though have hit a few speed bumps early in conference play. Baylor went on a road trip to Kansas State and Texas and ended up dropping both of those close games. Since losing to Texas they have had a week off to regroup and find their way back into the win column.
Baylor I think will make the tournament but they are going to have to rely heavily on their offense to do so. they have the No. 2 ranked offense in the Big 12, but the No. 12 ranked defense. In close games like the ones against Kansas State and Texas, their defense couldn't hold up and that was ultimately the reason they lost. If they can create big enough leads with their offense, they can win those games and improve their chances every day of making the NCAA Tournament.
