Cincinnati had a rough go in their first season in the Big 12. They finished last in the conference with only one win in conference play and it was against fellow newcomer Houston. In their first season since losing head coach Luke Fickell who led the Bearcats to the College Football Playoff, the first appearance by a group of five team, Cincinnati could just never find thier footing.

However, 2024 is a new season and the Bearcats seem to be trying to make things better. The one downside to all of this is that Cincinnati lost 23 guys to the portal, a lot of them to other Big 12 teams. The Bearcats are bringing a vast amount of positions, one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, three defensive linemen, one linebacker, five defensive backs, and one member of special teams.

While I think Cincinnati did well in the transfer portal, they still need a few more years before they can get to the mountaintop again.
