Arizona is another team that people believe can come into the Big 12 and immediately take over. The Wildcats were a top team in a very competitive Pac-12 conference in 2023. However, they did lose their head coach Jedd Fisch to Washington after Kalen DeBoer left for Alabama.

When Fisch left, players had 30 days to decide if they wanted to stay or leave in the portal. After all was said and done, Arizona ended up losing 19 players to the portal. The Wildcats need to do some damage control in the spring portal window to get back on track. Their first season in a new conference they will have a new head coach and that will be tough to get through.
