The Wildcats got hit hard by the transfer portal losing 15 guys including big names like Will Howard, Kobe Savage, and Will Lee III. I know Wildcat fans will be happy to see sophomore Avery Johnson on the field showcasing his talents, however, Will Howard is still a big loss.

Kansas State did fill some needs for 2024 like the offensive line. Due to the NFL Draft and graduation, the Wildcats will have an entirely new offensive line in 2024. Between early signing day signees and the portal, Chris Klieman can put together a solid group to protect Johnson.

Kansas State can win the Big 12 in 2024, but they need to get a few more guys in the spring portal. Getting wide receiver Date Cephas from Penn State is also going to be a huge boost for a receiving core that lost Ben Sinnott and Philip Brooks to the NFL Draft.
