The Jayhawks had an average performance when it came to the transfer portal. They lost six guys to the portal and brought in only six guys. Two of the guys they brought in are from fellow Big 12 school Iowa State both from the offensive side of the ball.

Kansas has taken steps forward in the last two seasons after not being even close to bowl-eligible for years. There are still things the Jayhawks can't do, like beat their rival Kansas State, but Lance Leipold is showing he can put together a good roster with anyone, including these six guys he has brought in so far from the transfer portal.

The Jayhawks need to continue to hit the portal with the coaching carousel still turning, but they definitely need to hit it when the spring window opens.
