Today is a big day for Kansas State as they truly begin their quest to the Big 12 Championship. The Wildcats did what they needed to in non-conference play by going 3-0 including a big win over No. 20 Arizona in Week 3.

Non-conference play is now in the rearview mirror for the Wildcats, and their Big 12 slate is no cakewalk. This is a big game for Kansas State to have momentum before welcoming Oklahoma State next week.

The Wildcats would love to have some good momentum at the beginning of Big 12 play, especially after the big win over Arizona. This won't be an easy game, though, as BYU is also coming into this game 3-0 and wants to defend their house in Provo.

No. 13 Kansas State vs. BYU final prediction

Even though BYU was projected to finish close to the bottom of the Big 12 at the beginning of the season, they are looking a lot better than that right now. The Cougars have a strong defense along with a dynamic quarterback who can get the ball anywhere on the field.

Kansas State has the ability to score in so many different ways, whether it is quarterback Avery Johnson's connection with the tight ends in the air, the running back duo of DJ Giddens and Dylan Edwards getting it done on the ground, or Johnson hurting teams with his legs.

If this game was in Manhattan, I would go with Kansas State easily all day long, but with it being a night game in Provo, it could give the Wildcats a run for their money. It will probably be a close game, closer than fans would like it to be, but Kansas State should be able to hold on for the win.
