We are midway through the season and it is time to hand out some report cards. The Big 12 is elite and no one can argue that. A little less than half of these teams came into conference play either undefeated or with one or two losses under them.

So one might think everything will get As and Bs right? Wrong. While all the teams in the Big 12 had good non-conference records, once they hit conference play, some teams were exposed, and some showed they were better than people thought.

I will acknowledge that this conference is elite and each team is just beating up on each other. However, teams like Kansas and Houston were supposed to come in and run the conference and right now only Houston is showing real fight to get back in the lead. Right now there are eight Big 12 teams ranked in the top 25, the most of any other conference.

So let's take a look at who has earned honors so far and who might need to hits the books again and study a little more.
