With ESPN College Gameday in Oklahoma City this weekend for the Oklahoma vs. Tennessee game, Kansas State fans were probably sweating a little bit when the gameday crew was making their picks for the Kansas State vs. BYU game.

At the end of the show, the gameday crew makes their picks on who they think will walk away with the win at the end of the game.

There is always the fear that everyone will pick your team in what will be a tough game and then they end up losing and it becomes a meme for the other team to use for all of eternity.

Luckily, Kansas State may not have to suffer that fate thanks to Kirk Herbstreit.

The entire ESPN College Gameday crew had picked the Wildcats to win in tonights late matchup against BYU until Herbstreit came in and saved the day.

Desmond Howard and former Alabama head coach Nick Saban went with the Wildcats because of the play of Avery Johnson and his ability to run and keep BYU guessing with the pass. Saban even went as far as saying Johnson is one of the most dynamic players in the country and will only get better.

Pat McAfee talked about how both quarterbacks are very good at the position and can give their team a chance to win, but because Johnson has the better hair, that is why he was going with the Wildcats.

Guest picker country music star Blake Shelton went with Kansas State as well as Lee Corso, leaving it up to Herbstreit as to whether K-State could be cursed in tonight's game. Herbstreit gave the edge to the Cougars because of their defense and the fact that they are at home at night in Provo.

Kansas State is set to take on BYU at 9:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
