Kansas State women's basketball gets their Big 12 opponents for the 2024-2025 season
Kansas State women's basketball had their best season in the Jeff Mittie era in 2023-2024. The Wildcats were ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation last season, but untimely injuries and losses put a damper on the season, but the Cats made a late push in the season and came close to winning the Big 12.
The players Mittie has around him are ones that have the potential to win a Big 12 title and maybe even compete for an NCAA Championship. The return of seventh-year senior Ayoka Lee is huge as the Wildcats will have their star center, hopefully for the entire season.
Lee has dealt with a lot of injuries in her career, mostly in the last two seasons. She missed the entire 2022-2023 season with a torn ACL and then this past season she missed a little over a month with an ankle injury that required surgery.
If Lee can be healthy for an entire season, the shooting on the outside with Serena Sundell, Jaelyn Glenn, and Brylee Glenn will be more open as defenses swarm to try and not let Lee hurt them.
So looking forward to the 2024-2025 season, the Wildcats are primed and ready to go, but first, they need to know who they are playing. They will play each team in the Big 12 including the four newcomers from the Pac-12, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah.
Each team in the Big 12 will have three home-and -way series, six home-only series, and six away-only series.
So here is who Kansas State women's basketball will player where in the 2024-2025 season.
