Kansas State just recently hired an Olympian to be their newest assistant track coach, but now they can say they hired a gold medal-winning Olympian.

Tara Davis-Woodhall just won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics in the long jump, outjumping the next-highest jumper by 0.12 meters. Davis-Woodhall has gone viral on social media for being herself while training to be an Olympic long jumper.

The announcement of Davis-Woodhall's hire camp after the Olympics began on August 2, 2024. The Texas native is best known for sporting her cowboy boots on the track after a big win and celebrating with her husband on the side who is also a Paralympic athlete.

Congratulations Tara on your gold medal and the Wildcats can't want to learn from a world champion!

Kansas State football in fall camp

Kansas State football has been in fall camp for about two weeks now and Chris Klieman has been vocal about how much he loves the Wildcats' intensity in practices.

The Wildcats are set to have a big season and fans are on the edge of their seats waiting to see Avery Johnson in full form all season long. However, there are many position battles taking place for different positions, but mainly it is to round out position groups.

Some players have impressed quite a bit including new transfer Dylan Edwards from Colorado, and his connection by no surprise has been great with Johnson.

The NCAA has officially decided on its punishment for former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, who is now the head coach for the Los Angeles Chargers. Harbaugh will have a four-year show-cause set on him for recruiting violations. Harbaugh will probably never have to actually pay for his actions as he may never return to college football.
